Great article, Chris! I'm always curious about other designers' experience with design challenges because it's a really controversial topic, and I've also had some bad experience with this. I think that challenges should be always unrelated to what the company really does, just to give us a chance to present our design thinking or presentation skills instead of giving away our ideas.
